Mike's House

| So thanks to you guys I was able to track down Mike Miles at his house. It turns out that he lives at home with his parents who are really cute and sweet and let me wait there with him for him to come home. I think Mike was more than a little freaked out when he saw me in his living room. He must think I am a stalker.
(video - see transcription below) I don't think his parents really realized that I didn't know him because they invited me to stay for lunch. It was really nice of them and I enjoyed it but it was also strange for me because I realized that I had never actually been in a nice house with family dinner at the table before – like an ordinary home I guess. I didn't film any more that day - it just didn't feel right. He doesn't like to talk to strangers about the Miracle Mile because he has been interviewed about ten million times for TV and newspapers and is sick of it and also, he doesn't want to give people false hope. It seems that a lot of people think that it's him who is responsible for the miracles because he drives the bus. I had to laugh when I saw his room which is full of dead houseplants that the neighbours give to his mother so that they will be healed! He thinks it is ridiculous but Mrs. Miles told me that it actually works.
It turns out that Mike and Charles Kriel are a lot alike. He also has visions of these runes, but has only seen them for the past few years. Mike has been obsessing with the symbols more and more. He showed me his journal, which looks nearly identical to mine, filled with drawings of my symbols! Finding him means that there are others like me, and makes me feel like these visions actually have meaning. I wasn’t sure what would happen that day that we met on the bus but it’s nice to have a friend in Adelaide. I asked Mike if he would take me to the place where he first saw the symbols. I felt weird about asking him to go somewhere he obviously didn't want to visit but I need to jump at any chance I have to find more information about my visions. Maybe there is something important about the location where it occurred. I don’t know but I did this with Charles and think it makes sense to do the same here. Mike was really not into the idea at all, but I didn't drop the issue so he finally agreed to take some time off with his transfer. Tomorrow we're going into the Outback to the spot where it all happened. I'll check in as soon as I get back. |
