I have to be fast. I have to run to catch a bus.

Last night was one of the scariest of my life. I spent the whole night imagining that Mike was going to walk in safe and sound, or I would wake up and the whole thing would have been some awful dream. He didn’t, and it wasn’t. But something or someone else did.

I usually sleep with my cameras nearby, but I didn’t have my light on the video. I had to use the camera flash to look, because I had the creepiest feeling that someone was in the room. I’ve been looking over my shoulder this whole trip, like I just missed someone watching me. But this time I saw him for sure. By the time I got to the lightswitch he was gone, but I know I didn’t dream it all this time.

That’s why I have to get out of here. I can’t stay and look for Mike - especially here. I’m really freaked now though and I’ve got to get out of Istanbul fast. Symbols are flashing fast and furious in my brain. I left a note for Mike at the hotel, letting him know where I’m going. But I can’t stay here any longer. I know I’m not safe in Istanbul. If you guys hear anything from him, please tell him where I’m going, OK? Gotta run, the bus is about to take off.
