Enjoying Adelaide
Enjoying Adelaide

Clarence Park Inn is strategically located along the “Miracle Mile” of bus line 421b, a route that runs right along Cross Road in the delightful suburbs of Adelaide.

We remind our customers that Adelaide is known as the “20-Minute City,” where visitors can experience everything in a series of short walks. The city centre itself is an enchanting mix of old buildings, cool stores, restaurants and cafes. There's something special to find on every “walkabout”.

A heavenly beach of fine white sand. Only 15 minutes from the city, this sparkling strand extends for more than 30 kilometres of sheer beauty from Le Fevre Peninsula to Sellicks Beach. You'll enjoy reefs, estuaries, cliffs and wetlands, not to mention the famous blue waters that shimmer in the setting sun.

Restaurants and cafes that suit every taste and budget. Rundle Street offers delightful alfresco cafes, while Gouger Street provides a tasty variety of Asian, Italian, French and Argentinean cuisines. And don't forget the culinarily eclectic O'Connell and Melbourne Streets, which are full of cafes, art galleries, burger joints and lively Australian pubs!

Amazing dolphin tours on 55-foot sailing catamarans. You can watch a special group of dolphins swim alongside the boat, or join them for an up close and personal experience you'll never forget! Take it from those who have tried it, you'll never look at dolphins the same way again…

Downtown City Market, thriving with produce stands of all kinds on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday mornings. It's close to Chinatown, which makes it perfect for morning shopping and a sinfully spicy Chinese lunch!

The tranquility and relaxation of Adelaide's downtown garden, where glasshouses enclose fascinating flora and tropical rainforest plants. A 1.5 hectare garden exhibits more than 5,000 roses alongside romantic pergolas. It's a perfect way to escape downtown, even while you're right in the heart of it!

There's so much more to enjoy in Adelaide– from Aboriginal museums to tram tours to wine tours, it has all the excitement of a big city with the special friendliness of South Australia.

If you prefer to go up into the hills, you'll be entranced by:

Mount Lofty Summit, the highest peak near Adelaide at 710.1 metres above sea level. Its views are so stunning, they're often called “the window to South Australia.”

Adelaide Nature Reserve, where visitors can walk with cuddly koalas and even stay till evening to watch nocturnal bandicoots, bettongs and potoroos by torchlight.

Scenic Waterfall Gully, where the spectacular falls, bushwalking trails and picturesque picnic locales are growing in popularity.

Adelaide is also renowned for its recent history of astounding cures and visions, which are now common along the “Miracle Mile” – a stretch that goes right outside our door on Cross Road!

A few of our own customers have written to tell us about their experiences on the “Miracle Mile.” We can't promise you a miracle, but believe us when we say that we've witnessed some very emotional people making some very extraordinary claims which they believe profoundly.

I think I may have understated my feelings about staying at your B&B. I am totally thankful for my trip to Adelaide. The stuff I can't stand are these phony endorsements you see on TV. Believe me I am the first person to sing the praises of the Miracle Mile. For years, I had experienced terrible back pain from a mountain biking accident. I was in agony just from someone touching my neck or back before, the pain was so bad. Now I'm playing guitar again and I'm even performing this Thursday at the Niskala (it's a dive but ya never know who's gonna show up). Anyone from Clarence Park Inn gets in free!

Thank you Julie and Heath for bringing me to the Miracle Mile,

Mark

…A Father, a Protector, truly touched me for the first time in His Eyes that day. Sensation in my feet was so strange and frightening that I dared not stand. My doctor now tells me that this was very lucky because I need to rebuild my muscles before walking again. He says he has never witnessed such a change in diabetic neuropathy. Bless you, Julie and Heath. You are the Shepherds for this miracle. Your names are on the Honour Roll to receive blessings from the Almighty.

Thanks for your missive. Yes I do seem better, though with somnambulism you never quite know. Luckily my wife hasn't caught me going through closets or wandering out onto the lawn lately! I didn't quite believe in the “Miracle Mile” before, even when I was visiting Adelaide. But now I'm really beginning to wonder. Maybe I wouldn't be feeling as rested as I am if I hadn't stayed at your lovely bed and breakfast?

With kind regards,
Trevor
